Avec des principes imit\u00e9s de la nature &#8211; plus qu\u2019\u00e9prouv\u00e9s, donc !<strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La vision de Fran\u00e7ois Mar\u00e9chal est condens\u00e9e dans le sch\u00e9ma ci-dessous : des mati\u00e8res transform\u00e9es en produits gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un apport d\u2019\u00e9nergie, et des d\u00e9chets subs\u00e9quents recycl\u00e9s en mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et \u00e9nergie. Cette vision se traduit aussi par des mots. Le pr\u00e9sent article c\u00e8de donc la parole \u00e0 Fran\u00e7ois Mar\u00e9chal. \u00ab C\u2019est l\u2019\u00e9conomie circulaire pr\u00f4n\u00e9e pour neutraliser nos \u00e9missions de CO<sub>2<\/sub>. Un cycle comparable assure la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes naturels. On parlera d\u2019\u00e9cologie industrielle quand des entreprises \u00e9changent mati\u00e8res et chaleur, que les d\u00e9chets de l\u2019une sont ressource pour une autre, quand le tissu industriel interagit avec les grands r\u00e9seaux d\u2019\u00e9nergie, les villes\u2026 \u00bb Ce regret : \u00ab Nos industries du pass\u00e9 appliquaient ces principes. Quand une industrie s\u2019installait, elle cr\u00e9ait sur son site d\u2019autres industries pour valoriser ses d\u00e9chets. Mais avec l\u2019\u00e9volution \u00e9conomique, nombre de ces industries d\u00e9riv\u00e9es ont chang\u00e9 de main, et si le partage d\u2019infrastructures a perdur\u00e9, les strat\u00e9gies coordonn\u00e9es ne sont plus la r\u00e8gle. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or, boucler des cycles sera la cl\u00e9 majeure vers la neutralit\u00e9 carbone de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s. \u00ab La nature a de longue date fait le meilleur usage du CO<sub>2<\/sub>, contr\u00f4lant sa concentration dans l\u2019air gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la photosynth\u00e8se, \u00e0 l\u2019origine une invention bact\u00e9rienne : de l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire, du CO<sub>2<\/sub> et de l\u2019eau combin\u00e9s en glucose, brique premi\u00e8re de la biomasse et r\u00e9serve d\u2019\u00e9nergie, tandis que de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne (O<sub>2<\/sub>) est lib\u00e9r\u00e9. \u00bb Le cycle se referme avec la respiration des organismes qui extraient, dans leurs cellules, \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019O<sub>2<\/sub>, l\u2019\u00e9nergie du glucose, restituant l\u2019eau et le CO<sub>2<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n            <section class=\"container-media-slider-block block-paddings  \">\n            <div class=\"container-main\">\n                <div class=\"container-media-slider-content\">\n                    <div class=\"container-media-slider js-main-slider scrollMagic-block visibleInBackend\" data-uid=\"6a3c28b297a3a\" data-nav=\"#container-media-slider-nav-6a3c28b297a3a\" id=\"container-media-slider-6a3c28b297a3a\">\n                                                    \n                            <div class=\"item-block\">\n                                                                                                                                                                \n                                \n                                                                                                            <div class=\"simple-image desk  \" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/enaw.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241024_enaw_EPGL_grafik_FR_at01_quer3-scaled.jpg)\"><\/div>\n\n                                        <div class=\"simple-image mob  \" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/enaw.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241024_enaw_EPGL_grafik_FR_at01_quer3-1200x753.jpg)\"><\/div>\n                                                                    \n                                                            <\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n\n                    <div class=\"container-media-slider-nav js-nav-slider\" data-main=\"#container-media-slider-6a3c28b297a3a\" id=\"container-media-slider-nav-6a3c28b297a3a\">\n                                                                                                <\/div>\n\n                                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n    \n\n\n\n                    <div id=\"r6a3c28b297ca9\" class=\"default-single-post-title \">\n                <h4>Et le CO<sub>2<\/sub> devint encombrant\u2026\u00a0<\/h4>\n            <\/div>\n        \n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La biosph\u00e8re a ainsi entretenu stable, hors catastrophes, le taux de CO<sub>2<\/sub> de l\u2019air. Mais le cycle biologique du CO<sub>2<\/sub> a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9bord\u00e9 par l\u2019essor de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 industrielle port\u00e9 par la combustion d\u2019ancienne biomasse fossilis\u00e9e \u2013 charbon, p\u00e9trole, gaz \u2013, lib\u00e9rant \u00e0 haut rythme du CO<sub>2<\/sub> en m\u00eame temps qu\u2019on d\u00e9gradait les milieux naturels. Replanter de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation ne suffira pas, et la capture du CO<sub>2<\/sub> n\u2019est praticable que dans certains secteurs. Il nous faut donc \u00e9tablir de nouveaux cycles sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 nos activit\u00e9s d\u2019esp\u00e8ce \u00e0 part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab 70 % des \u00e9missions de CO<sub>2<\/sub> de l\u2019industrie d\u00e9coulent de besoins thermiques \u00bb (sch\u00e9ma, parte sup\u00e9rieure). Mesures \u00e9videntes pour r\u00e9duire ces \u00e9missions : chauffer au juste besoin, r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer la chaleur, la valoriser par \u00e9change thermique \u00e0 l\u2019aide de pompes \u00e0 chaleur \u2013 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 10 \u00e0 15 unit\u00e9s de chaleur capt\u00e9es par unit\u00e9 investie en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Cela devrait relever de l\u2019ordinaire apr\u00e8s 25 ans de lois sur le CO<sub>2<\/sub> et sur l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie, et l\u2019inflation r\u00e9cente des co\u00fbts de l\u2019\u00e9nergie ! Au-del\u00e0 ? \u00ab Le renouvelable doit remplacer le fossile. \u00c7a passera par la conversion des surplus de chaleur en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et la gestion de l\u2019intermittence des sources renouvelables en int\u00e9grant des solutions de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie sous forme chimique \u2013 et solutions idem pour stocker les surplus estivaux de la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 renouvelable. \u00bb Un cycle se pr\u00e9cise ainsi, reliant chaleur, \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et divers gaz, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de ce qu\u2019op\u00e8rent photosynth\u00e8se et respiration via CO<sub>2<\/sub> et O<sub>2<\/sub>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n                    <div id=\"r6a3c28b297e3e\" class=\"default-single-post-title \">\n                <h4>Jongler avec les atomes et les mol\u00e9cules<\/h4>\n            <\/div>\n        \n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Par \u00e9lectrolyse, on peut convertir le CO<sub>2<\/sub> et l\u2019eau en carburant (m\u00e9thane, m\u00e9thanol, k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne) en lib\u00e9rant de l\u2019O<sub>2<\/sub>. Par le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 inverse, la pile \u00e0 combustible, ce carburant peut rendre l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en utilisant O<sub>2<\/sub>, avec rejet de CO<sub>2<\/sub> et d\u2019eau. Si le CO<sub>2<\/sub> est captur\u00e9, stock\u00e9 et r\u00e9utilis\u00e9, on reproduit de mani\u00e8re industrielle le cycle de la nature. On peut bien s\u00fbr int\u00e9grer cycles industriel et naturel. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autre voie : \u00ab En investissant un peu de courant et de chaleur pour gaz\u00e9ifier \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature de la biomasse \u2013 bois, d\u00e9chets \u2013, on restitue l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire capt\u00e9e par photosynth\u00e8se sous la forme d\u2019un gaz dit \u00ab synth\u00e9tique \u00bb (syngaz), compos\u00e9 de carburants simples : hydrog\u00e8ne (H<sub>2<\/sub>), monoxyde de carbone (CO), un peu de m\u00e9thane (CH<sub>4<\/sub>), transform\u00e9 pour stockage et distribution sous forme de carburants. La source initiale \u00e9tant renouvelable, les combustions sont neutres en CO<sub>2<\/sub>. Capture et s\u00e9questration du CO<sub>2<\/sub> apr\u00e8s r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de son \u00e9nergie, permettront m\u00eame des \u00e9missions n\u00e9gatives. \u00bb Et Fran\u00e7ois Mar\u00e9chal de souligner : \u00ab Si la Suisse utilisait ainsi tous ses d\u00e9chets de biomasse, elle produirait l\u2019\u00e9quivalent de la quantit\u00e9 de gaz fossile qu\u2019elle importe aujourd\u2019hui et pourrait stocker les surplus d\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire avec un rendement de 95 % ! \u00bb La gaz\u00e9ification, tout comme la pyrolyse, muent donc la biomasse en un carburant homog\u00e8ne, facile \u00e0 distribuer et stocker. \u00ab Et par \u00e9lectrolyse, il est possible d\u2019y ins\u00e9rer un suppl\u00e9ment d\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable pour des applications difficiles, tel le transport a\u00e9rien, o\u00f9 le poids des r\u00e9servoirs est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment critique. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n                    <div id=\"r6a3c28b297f70\" class=\"default-single-post-title \">\n                <h4>Incitations<\/h4>\n            <\/div>\n        \n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imiter la nature pour m\u00fbrir industries, transports, habitat ou consommation<br>selon des principes par lesquels la vie terrestre s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e et a perdur\u00e9, ne l\u2019avons-nous pas d\u00e9j\u00e0 pratiqu\u00e9 en dotant nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de \u00ab syst\u00e8mes nerveux \u00bb intelligents, tout comme l\u2019\u00e9volution l\u2019a fait avec les organismes animaux ? Les r\u00e9seaux num\u00e9riques se complexifient, accumulent, traitent, utilisent une infinit\u00e9 d\u2019informations pour, entre mille autres finalit\u00e9s, g\u00e9rer nos ressources, dont celles du domaine \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique (sch\u00e9ma, partie inf\u00e9rieure).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conformer nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;image des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et des organismes a certes un co\u00fbt, mais aussi d&rsquo;immenses b\u00e9n\u00e9fices, maintenant et dans l\u2019avenir. \u00ab Selon l\u2019Agence de protection de l&rsquo;environnement des USA, le pollueur-payeur devrait provisionner 190 USD par tonne de CO<sub>2<\/sub> \u00e9mise pour permettre aux g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures de r\u00e9parer les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts du r\u00e9chauffement. Ce montant, un minimum, repr\u00e9senterait pour la Suisse 30 milliards\/an, comme un subside \u00ab octroy\u00e9 \u00bb par nos descendants pour nous permettre d&rsquo;utiliser les ressources fossiles. \u00bb Dans l\u2019imm\u00e9diat, la loi sur le climat et l&rsquo;innovation soutiendra des projets de d\u00e9carbonation innovants avec 200 millions de CHF par an. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En conclusion ?
